Following in the footsteps of founders Tony and Mary McConn Dualway has maintained an ongoing relationship with community organisations and charities.
Over the past 10 years the Dualway Group has helped generate over €40,000 for charities close to the family’s and the team’s heart.
Red Bus Fundraiser for Focus Ireland
The Dualway team worked closely with Focus Ireland to help raise much needed funds. To recognise Focus Ireland’s 25th anniversary the Group donated bus rears for advertising and donated takings for the day to the housing and homeless charity through its Red Bus Charity Day. Dublin families got to enjoy a day of sightseeing around the city and their ticket price was matched by the company helping to raise €5500!
Board a Bus for Barretstown Fundraiser
Between 2005-2008 the Dualway team ran an annual fundraiser day onboard the City Sightseeing Dublin Tour buses. Over a four year period this annual fundraiser for local childrens’ charity, Barretstown Camp, the Board a Bus for Barretstown Day raised a total of €22,500 receiving great support from Dubliners including local celebrities and hospitality businesses.
New Bus for St Michael’s House
In 2004 the Dualway team donated their Christmas Party fund to buy St Michael’s House a much needed mini-bus. This vehicle has helped enhance the lives of residents at St Michael’s House who, as a result of the new vehicle, were able to travel to recreational events and swimming lessons.
