Giants Causeway Weather – Should I bring a jacket or a jumper, good question!

Over the years we have been asked what days do you get the best weather to visit the Giants Causeway. This is a good question so we have decided to do a blog with some recommendations on when we think is the best time of year to visit the Giants Causeway!

What is the weather like during Spring at the Giants Causeway?

So we are on the same page here, Spring is from March to June. Now that we have that out of the way we can tell you that usually, the Giants Causeway weather is usually very fine this time of the year. Indeed you might get the odd shower of rain but more times than not you can expect a bright sunny day! Along with Summer, we recommend that if you are looking to visit the Giants Causeway at any stage in the year that you make sure it is during one of these two seasons. This allows you the best opportunity to take a scenic walk along the causeway and really enjoy what this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer!

What is the weather like during Fall at the Giants Causeway?

When Fall comes, it is time to ‘fall’ in love with the Giants Causeway weather, see what we did there? Often referred to as Autumn in Ireland, Fall occurs from September to December. This time of the year can often result in rain, wind and blustery conditions at the Giants Causeway, perfect if you are looking forward to seeing the waves from the Irish Sea crash the Anruim coast!
